Angela shares how it was hard to gain a sense of belonging growing up. She said you are a lot less alone than you think. She suggests approaching each other with curiosity instead of with assumptions.

Dr. Angela Fu

Dr. Angela Fu is a clinical psychologist based in British Columbia, Canada. Born in California to a family that immigrated from mainland China, she spent her childhood and adolescence moving between China and the United States. Her experiences navigating Chinese, American, and international education systems, along with both Eastern and Western cultural values, have shaped her understanding of bicultural identity, immigration, and cross-cultural experiences. After completing her undergraduate studies at the University of British Columbia, Dr. Fu earned her Doctor of Psychology degree from Adler University’s Clinical Psychology Program. She provides therapy in both English and Mandarin and works primarily with bicultural and multicultural adults, Chinese Canadians, and individuals from immigrant family backgrounds. Her clients are often working professionals, many with immigrant backgrounds, who are thoughtful, reflective, and seeking greater self-understanding and personal growth.
